KICKBOXING
Kickboxing is not only great for learning self defence, but also in providing one of the best cardiovascular and resistance workouts ever.
Although sparring is an option for advanced classes, most people join for the fitness benefits.
Studies have shown that a 45 to 60 minute kickboxing class can burn between 600 to 800 calories.
In addition to the weight loss you are building lean muscle and toning your whole body. The kicking exercises concentrate thighs, hips and buttocks.
Unlike standard aerobics classes where everyone has to stay at the same pace, you can work as hard or as easy as your fitness level dictates.
The stretching exercises incorporated in a kickboxing class enhance the flexibility and range of motion that are so crucial in our everyday life.
Kickboxing is also a great way to improve your agility endurance and coordination.
Once you have learned the basics, the combinations are endless providing constant variety in your routine.
Kickboxing is available to PCYC members 15 years and up.

- Thursday 6.30pm
Fees are:
- Adults casual visit: $6.00
- Children casual visit: $5.00
