CHILD CARE SERVICES
Our Staff | Enrolment Procedure | Fees | Vacation Care
Redcliffe PCYC operates one of the largest School Age Care programs in the North Brisbane Peninsula area. PCYC is a registered childcare service provider and provides Commonwealth Government fee relief.
The PCYC program is not just about looking after the children but involving them in a diverse range of activities designed to encourage and foster their personal development.
Our aim is to provide a caring and secure environment where each child can develop his or her physical, intellectual, social and emotional skills to become a competent and confident individual.
Our Services have been developed to cater for the needs of the community by providing School Age Care facilities. We are committed to providing the highest quality care and to implementing sound education, sports, recreation and arts based activities to cater for the needs of our children and their families.
We believe:
- The primary focus of School Age Care must be the individual child and that children learn by doing and through play.
- That children need to feel safe and secure in the Child Care environment and that parents are the most important people in a child's life.
- That an effective School Age Care worker focuses on the thinking process and has an understanding of the children's behaviour.
The Redcliffe PCYC currently has 3 School Age Care Services.

Our Staff
We aim to bring children together in a friendly, attractive and secure environment. Our staff consist of a School Age Care Co-ordinator, who is responsible for the organisation of the School Age Care Facility and who oversees all our programs.
Our School Age Care Co-ordinator holds a current Early Childhood Qualification that requires a minimum two year study or higher.
We also have Supervisors who hold a range of relevant qualifications to enable them to work in School Age Care services.
Key staff members hold a current first aid certificate and we endeavour to employ staff that are experienced in working with children.
All staff are encouraged to attend regular training and development courses.
Enrolment Procedures
Once you arrive at the PCYC a staff member will take your through to the service and show you our facilites and discuss our philosophy and policies.
You will be given a copy of the Parent Handbook, along with an Enrolment form. Just fill in the Enrolment form and return to the School Age Care Service prior to commencement.
Bring your child along with you so they can have a look around and meet the staff, as this helps to "break the ice" and your child will settle in much easier.
Pease download and complete the applicable forms from the 'CHILD CARE FORMS' section on the top right of this page.
There will be some other minor information that the School Age Care Co-ordinator may request when you drop in your paperwork.
Please note forms will ONLY be accepted when delivered by hand to the respective service, as information has to be verified by the Co-ordinator. Paperwork will not be accepted by any other form.
