Pulse Newsletter
Welcome to the new look monthly Redcliffe Pulse Newsletter. A monthly club newsletter has been an ambition
for some time but as one can appreciate can be a time consuming project. The purpose of the newsletter is to provide members and guests of the club
with information about what's happening from both the activity and management perspectives.
We hope to be able to highlight significant events, achievements and performances as well as providing information about the numorous activities we have on offer. We will also be profiling some of our volunteers and staff who play a valuable role in making our club the great club it is.
There are many significant events coming your way, which started with our inaugural Opening Day on July 22. PCYC's across the state provided various activities, functions and events to showcase the PCYC's. This gave all PCYC's an opportunity to demonstrate what they have on offer. It was also an opportunity for our club to educate the community on what we stand for and can provide for both young people and the community at large.
Whilst there have been some great achievements in the past few months I must make mention of some members from our Youth Management Team (YMT), who recently attended the PCYC State Youth Leadership Program I (SYLP I). I also attended the camp along with Reece Offer, Emma Wade and Louise Parkes.
It was great to see our young people "steeping up" and challenging themselves. It was also great to get some positive feedback from our young people about the camp, which has seen them return to the club full of enthusiasm to "make a difference".
Since that time our YMT have been painting the cafe and surrounds, arranged a sleep over for the other PCYC YMT members attending our Dance Party and have plans for more painting, a movie night/sleepover and other activities. Well Done YMT. More info on the YMT here
Their enthusiasm has also seen our newsletter getting off the ground and a special thanks to Louise for volunteering to produce our newsletters.
